When we asked you on Instagram whether we should add colour to our wood, you voted very clearly: yes.
So now we have so many new questions. What colours bring your interiors to life? Which room in your home has the most colour?
To be completely honest, we used to resist colour a little. Working with solid wood gave us the comfort of beautiful, natural shades that never really get boring and never go out of style.
But we listen, we learn, and we are starting to notice more and more colour in nature. Even December is full of it! Bright pink spindle berries, a green woodpecker, the cool green of pine needles, reddish-brown bark, jays, squirrels, mallards, a kingfisher. These are the colours of our closest surroundings.
For our first experiments, we used solid ash with beautiful, wavy grain and Danish pigmented oils. The colours turned out beautifully. The little square samples look almost good enough to eat, and choosing just one is genuinely difficult.
You can see the samples in our workshop. If there is a particular colour you would like to see in real life but you can't make it to Chylice, just let us know and we can send you a sample by courier.
You can already order our B0 Floating Shelves in these colours. We think they would look great in a child's room, but also as a strong colour accent in a kitchen. And a cobalt blue bookshelf? Oh, yes!
Model A Wine Racks, as well as our wine and glass shelves, are also available in the colours you see in the pictures. Just drop us a line at team@tulas.eu.
And soon, we'll show you some of our favourite colour combinations.
Because once you start noticing colour, it's surprisingly hard to stop.
