I am Kasia Karolczyk-Roj and I am the TU LAS founder. I am also a trembling heart behind this place (trying so much not to sabotage myself in my introduction post!)

TU LAS is my tribute to the simple craft of one's own hands, and to working with natural materials rather than CEOs. Simply put, it's about building a good, sustainable place to work and live, and creating long-lasting items that will be stored in the attic by our children (I have no illusions about children's rebellious souls) and hopefully rediscovered by their children.

I am happy when I share food and moments with my family and friends. So the whole TU LAS collection is centered around the table, as a praise for communal living and the shared social experience of the goodness of life, with its glorious food, wine and human touch.

Inspiring others with my love for wood, showing how to care for it, fix and renovate, how to admire the natural imperfections, and the slow aging process that transforms the appearance of wooden products over time is what I value a lot.

Somewhere at the root of this approach is my family history. One of my grandfathers was a forester, and the other was a natural-born craftsman, always coming up with ideas and ways to put them to life. He would carve wooden birds, tiny shoes, even a miniature of our hometown. This creativity and respect for nature became my heritage.
